Students Honor Special Guests With Songs

Students at MGV honored important people in their lives with a medley of choral performances on Special Person’s Day.

The annual event’s theme for 2015 was “Broadway Musicals,” and featured students singing songs from popular theatrical shows. Students in each grade from kindergarten through fifth-grade sang “Do-Re-Mi” from Sound of Music, “Let it Go” from Frozen, “Tomorrow” from Annie, “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” from The Lion King, “Put on a Happy Face,” from Bye Bye Birdie and “Green Eggs and Ham” from Seussical, respectively. The guests were then given the opportunity to visit the students who honored them in their classrooms.

Special Person’s Day served to encourage students to honor the important individuals in their lives by showcasing their choral talents.
