Belmont Takes a Virtual Field Trip

Students at Belmont embarked on virtual field trips to the Cleveland Museum of Art (CMA).

As part of a distance-learning program, students engaged in a variety of art lessons taught by CMA instructors through video conference calls.

Kindergartners, first- and second-graders learned about basic color usage in art samples, while third-, fourth- and fifth-graders learned about impressionism, Native Americans, and knights and castles, respectively. Videoconferencing with the CMA gave students an opportunity to supplement their school lessons with interactive tutorials by art educators.
