Town Art Show

More than 1,000 piece of art from the seven buildings in the North Babylon School District were on display at Babylon Town Hall from April 12 through May 15. On May 1, Town Supervisor Richard Schaffer and Deputy Supervisor/Councilman Tony Martinez hosted a special reception for all award winners, featuring music by the NBHS jazz band. Superintendent of Schools Patricia Godek and members of the Board of Education also presented awards.

This year, special awards were given to Britney Huang (Supervisor’s Award, selected by Supervisor Schaffer), Sabrina Jamshad (Special Recognition Award, selected by Dr. Judith Marino, assistant superintendent for educational services), Stephanie Mercado (Superintendent’s Award, selected by Mrs. Godek) and Angad Sraon (Director’s Award, selected by Dr. Kim Lowenborg-Coyne, director of art and music programs).
