Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Through Art

Students in Renee Blank’s art classes at Parliament Place Elementary School and Karen Kennely’s art classes at North Babylon High School participated in the Town of Babylon’s annual Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration. The students designed art pieces that were included in the Town’s cultural displays, which included artwork inspired by Hispanic traditions and famous Hispanic artists. Ms. Blank’s students crafted masks used in the traditional “Dia de los Muertos” celebration, while Ms. Kennely’s students created still life drawings of authentic Hispanic objects and artifacts.
