On Wednesday, Oct. 16, the North Babylon High School Marching Band will take the stage at University Field for the 51st Newsday Marching Band Festival at Hofstra University. This festival spans three nights and features more than 45 bands from across Nassau and Suffolk counties.

In this year's show, “Motown 55,” the band, under the leadership of band director Frank Rizzo, assistant band director Jay Orig, and kickline co-advisers Laura Gmelch and Nicole Raymond, will be celebrating the 55th anniversary of Motown by performing some of the biggest hits from Hitsville, USA.

Tickets to see the North Babylon performance in person are currently on sale and may be purchased for $8 from Mr. Rizzo. For more information, please call 631-620-7139. For those unable to make the show, the performance will be streamed online through the Cablevision and MSG Varsity websites. Each band can be accessed on Channel 614, through Optimum cable, one week after the festival.
